This is the product of obsession and time. The 3-d flowers on these pieces were hand sculpted in the aftermath of hurricane Ida in 2022. Without power and the city in lockdown there wasn't much to do so Gurleen decided to pass the time by making these mini sculptures. Their lopsided expressions contrast their cheerful petals showcasing the general mood at the time. Top and skirt are made from repurposed leather from thrifted jackets. The bra top has fully adjustable straps with vintage buttons for closures. The skirt has a side seam zipper and front slit. All flowers have been hand sewn onto the garments.
